No...But you can...

With the information you have provided, it would only be an educated guess.

However, If you were to go to each of the units listed and look at the name plate or manuals for them, the information on their wattage would be listed.

Then, just add them up and you will have a good idea on maximum usage.

Regards,
Sapper.

there's no available wattage on its name plate. Thats its hard for me to identify. Well if you have a experience on building wiring. Can you calculate for me. And give me the examples of your plan. Like the blue print electrical plan, with the schedule of wires and calculation of loads. Please email me if you have. atchetv@yahoo.com

Assuming some reasonable guesses:

300 + 100 + 1,000 + 500 + 746 + 4 x 75 + 3 x 20 = 3006 W total.

Not all of this will be running all the time or simultaneously. The average might be about 1500 W. If this is a 120/1/60 system, the biggest load will be 8.3 amps, so 15-amp breakers and 14 AWG wire should suffice throughout (if the AC and fridge are on separate circuits).

  • Take the quarterly electricity bill, and read the kWh consumed from it as read by the utility company's meter.
  • Multiply by 4.
  • Divide by 365.24
  • Divide by 24h

That is the house's power demand as averaged over that quarter-year.

What if he is really questioning whether the bill is right?

I tell you the story, why i calculate this. I have a new apartment, and i want to calculate my total wattage, because the civil engineer of the house was ask me how much is our wattage. So i dont have any idea how much is the approximate wattage of the TV, Convenience outlet and etc. because the equipment dont have any nameplate. I hope you could help me on this. Thank you so much

In the USA. that would be an illegal TV. It must have a label somewhere giving either the power consumption or the current required. The current, multiplied by the outlet voltage, gives the power. That label may be molded into the plastic of the case, which might not be obvious in poor light. If it is a tiny portable TV, the power or current might be given on a separate power supply.

For the convenience outlets, it depends on what is plugged in to the outlet. If you plug in a cellphone charger or a nightlight, it will use only a few Watts. If you plug in an electric heater, it could be 1500 Watts or more. And of course, if nothing is plugged in, it uses no power whatsoever!

Tell the engineer that you require 6,2 KVA...Single phase....thats should be more than enough

2 simple options. You listed 5 items. The brand or manufacturer should be on each item somewhere. Contact them or check out their web sites for the needed information. Or, request the engineer to loan you an amp meter. Check each appliance for the amp draw. Supply Him/her with this information along with the voltage of each. Simple math and they have their answer.

This does sound like a home work problem to me. Each apartment should have it's own fuse or breaker panel. If you require more than the panel can handle then you will start tripping breakers or blowing fuses. I also find it hard t believe there is no information on any of the items. Are they stolen?

Why bother to look for rating plates that may not be there. Buy a Kill-A-Watt meter http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882715001&nm_mc=OTC-d3alt1me&cm_mmc=OTC-d3alt1me-_-Electronic+Gadgets-_-P3+International-_-82715001 for less than $20.00, measure the power usage of each item, add them up, and report the results. I suggest you add a safety factor just in case you upgrade to a larger TV.

Let me help you do your home work. Write down the total connected loads i.e write down the watts of Tv system ( name plate of TV) + speakers + other connected loads in watts (1hp = 746 watts).

The total will be your connected load but not the power you consume, which is all those load which are running currently.
