How to calculate pressure value accoring to mA

01/05/2010 10:22 PM

Dear all,

How to calculate Pressure/temp value by known mA output.

Ex: LRV 10 BARG

URV 50 BARG

mA OUTPUT: 7.2

SO what is the actual pressure ( Please give the forlulae)

LRV corresponds to 4 ma

PV to 7.2 ma

URV to 20 ma

It's linear interpolation between.

[Some systems are based on 1-5 VDC rather than 4-20 ma. Same idea. Also, I think there may be "reverse action" cases in which 4-20 ma matches a decreasing PV (process value). Drawing a linear graph sometimes helps.]

Out(bar)=((Out(mA)-4)/16)*(URV-LRV)+LRV

I think it helps

Hi there,

Even simpler:

Out (Bar) = (URV - LRV) / 16 * 7.2 (Measured mA)

Craig
