01/05/2010 11:03 PM

We purchased a Stamford Generator (300 kW) wired 480V 3 ph. and would like to convert to 120 / 208. Can anyone assist with a connection diagram.

I wonder which would cost more: said conversion, or a 375 KVA 480 x 208 transformer....

bree218; check & see if you 9 leads/12 leads coming out of the generator, if it could be reconnected in junction box, the control may have be modified, current xformer changed, voltage regulator, scales, etc .perry

I doubt that a voltage conversion would be feasible, unless the generator was manufactured with that capability. Check Tornado's answer.

Buy and install a suitable step down transformer that meets your required voltage. They are in the market. The connection diagram is in the manual too.

In that small size range they are typically 12 lead and easily reconnectable. Tech info is available at:http://www.cumminsgeneratortechnologies.com/en/products/stamford/
