Some of those flanges failed, resulting in accidents, injuries, and fatalities. This scandal probably set the Chinese efforts back by about ten years. Do not repeat, lest your country be again set back by ten years.

That is a more difficult problem. The yellow pages and search engines are richer in vendors than in customers.

Sometimes the buyers are sellers, so the vendors are customers, and I have got some, they iqnuiried but didn't place an order

In the contracting business, there is a folk saying, "Bid seven, get one." Sales does involve rejection, but keep your spirits up and keep trying.

If you want to find customers who are looking for carbon steel pipes, then you need to go where buyers are already searching for such products.

You should visit foreign embassies and register your company and products, with information on verifiable data of quality of the products. Most embassies have a commerce division with information on interested parties for listed products and importers in their country.

You should also have verifiable company information on finances, methods of payment, L?C's, etc.

I am from India a developing country. We have many local Pipe mfrs. such as Jindal, Wellspun etc. They have good strong hold in local market and they also export to many countries.Chinese products here and in other countries do not have good name as far as quality is concerned.You have to prove your credentials by establishing good references.Do you have ISO certification and CE,UE markings?.What are the sizes you mfr?.How competitive are your prices?. All these factors are to be considered before entering International Market.Better to locate an agent in different countries so that he can introduce your products.

Im no expert on the pipe but know a thing or two about global trade. Perhaps if China's government would stop subsidising its pipe manufacturing industry and desist from it's preditory pricing practices the rest of the world would provide a more receptive market place.

I'm in oil country in western Canada and work in the import business. I see pipe coming in here from almost every country in the world, we simply cannot (or will not)produce enough for our needs. I see imports of entire freight trains or ocean cargo vessals of pipe coming into Canada every week. Pipe and fittings from China however attract an almost 200% anti-dumping duty rate, so we don't see much from there.

Pipes or flanges sales, if its exports to one contry up to a extent that will damage the benefits of the local manufacturers of the same industry the government will reluctant to see this and definitely to take measures to prevent it from going further.

Unless you would become universal sales representative, selling your product to one company would not make you survive. To acquire world knowledge in need of your product begin from acquiring knowledge of the countries involved in drilling. Follow up their success. Watch other suppliers of the world and before he makes the deal approach before time. Nothing is in hide. You know the country rich in oil and gas. Visit them.
