Please find out the cost of the 50KVA generator. It is going to be costly. In case you have the $s then there are many companies that will supply the panels. (I assume you are asking for photovoltaic)

Many areas you have the Gov providing subsidies and also tax reliefs on these green energies, find out.

BTW: we are on way to put 1MVA photovoltaic for our factory- along with other solar initiatives- water heater, et all , as a part of out green business (that will be only may be 10% or even less of our consumption, but still).

The bottom line is whether you/your organisation can afford, we have a policy in the orgainisation to give back a percentage of profit to society, a portion of which is allocated to the environment (solar, tree plantation,..)- here of course the profitability is not an issue.

There are two types of solar electrical generation.

1. Solar power from photo voltaic cells fitted on large solar panels which is widely used. Solar cells convert solar energy to DC electricity. To collect solar energy Solar panels, parabolic troughs, solar dishes, and solar power towers with reflecting mirrors are used depending on size of Solar collectors. The concentrating collectors use panels which are angled to absorb the best point of the sun's direct rays. There are many reputed manufactures on this busyness all over world.

2. Solar steam generators. Solar steam generators use the sun to heat water and produce steam to run electrical turbines. In this system the sun's direct rays heat water to produce steam to run electrical turbines. the sun's energy can be delivered. Solar steam generators use the sun to heat water and produce steam to run electrical turbines.

So you have to decide on what system you want to adopt to approach the proper suppliers. Internet provide address and details of the present systems and probable suppliers.

It will require something over 2 hectares of panel and a large storage facility....
