Bunker level monitoring system.

Which is better between radar transmitter and ultrasonic sensor for bunker level monitoring system?

Please add technical specification and cost effectiveness as well.

.....then please define what is in the bunker, its particle size, its angle-of-repose, the materials-of-construction of the bunker, its pressure and its temperature.

It is coal bunker.

Particle size would be 5mm.

We are using Radar Transmitters and found them to be working ok in all our projects

Radar is much better than ultrasonic. I ve replaced ultrasonic sensors with radar in many places where clients complained of level reading getting affected by dust.

Go for VEGA PULS68 or PULS67. It's the best on the market for solids level measurement.
