120vac with 24v in a gutter

Stuck out in the field and need to know if you can run 120vac and 24v circuits in a 4x4 gutter, stuck in field wo nec in an emergency situation

Told him to run all 600v control wire or seperate by 12" for capacituve coupling/inductance

It's OK, especially if the 24V is AC power for devices. The problem is that if your devices are measuring something and sending back 4-20 or 0-10 signals you should shield them, especially if it's a long run. What's this power of yours doing anyway?

You do have to be a little careful about induced voltages if the 24V is involved in PLC inputs, but only if there is significant current flowing in the 120V circuits.

It would be wise to segregate them as widely as possible, though 4-20mA circuits are largely immune from nearby AC circuit coupling.
