What causes reverse power in parallelling? Thanks.

Among the conditions that can do this are:

Poor fuel delivery to a generator (clogged filter, air leaks, etc.)

Wrong governor adjustment (or malfunctioning governor) to a generator

Incorrect voltage regulation (wrong setting or bad regulator) to a generator

rapid increase in bus frequency faster than governor response could give transient reverse power.especially if in parallel with mains or with larger machines.
