WOW. That work is exquisite. I hate to think how many thousands of man hours each plane took but I applaud and salute all of the meticulous work. Both pieces are nothing short of museum quality.

I also Thank You Ronseto for bringing these masterpieces to our attention.

in awh,

the detail is unbelievable. I would be guessing, that it is all scaled, with nothing left out.

Someday, I hope to have the time to do something like that. Not that I'm capable, but I like to have the time...

The gentleman that hand-built these metal aircraft models (a N.A. P-51D Mustang and a Vought F4U Corsair) with his dental tools is a retired Japanese-American Dentist who lives in Hawaii....actually he has built more than just these two gorgeous examples.

The two models were donated to a miniatures museum. I forget which one, but I think it's in Calif????

The models are built predominately aluminum, fashioned out of solid ingots or sheet. Of course, there are some brass pieces included in each build.

Everything is to exacting scale and each took several years to construct.

Makes my plastic aircraft model builds look lame in comparison...and they're built to museum standards! ACKKKKK!!!!!!!

The man is amazing, to say the least!
