07/08/2010 2:52 AM

Are you doing any research on magnets or magnetic materials? if so please share your research here with CR4 members.

What is the objective of your research? what are your findings? how are doing your research i mean procedure? and what type of facilities you are using and where?

your comments are highly appreciated.

Many of my colleagues are doing research on magnetic materials at several of our beam lines. My job involves designing electronics that control and accelerate the electron beam that produces the light at this facility. I also maintain a variety of different motors to adjust many of the optical equipment and detectors used in these experiments.

I am presently working on a redesign of the driving electronics for one of the ring magnets.

Something tells me that you just made a new friend.

Sounds like interesting work.

It is interesting that the OP asks everyone to give their findings, without yet giving any of his own findings, sketches, calculations, understandable descriptions, or underlying concepts.

Is he trying to pick brains? Or pockets?

Good point.

The other question to ask is why the original poster didn't take the hint a couple of years ago! Another example of perpetual motion, perhaps?

Just pockets - to pick brains a brain is needed!

I'd say he wants a list of genuine researchers/facilities to say he's "associated with".

And I think you might Red.

Yeah, I hear you. But it's not like we're supposed to hide our work from anyone. A simple Google search and anyone can find us.

It wouldn't be the first time somebody claimed to have been linked to us that was (how should I put this) creative in their view of reality. A friend lent me a DVD called "The Truth About The Philadelphia Experiment". I had trouble keeping a straight face and my pants dry when a picture of the NSLS popped up and a claim that one of the individuals, Preston Nichols, use to work at BNL.

Ask Perendev!

He didn't get anywhere.

After you opened the first discussion on your "magnetic motor", as Guest in post #1 pointed out, after one week you come back to ask for help probably because the suckers who funded your project are squeezing you. I explained in my post 112 why your claims are total BS.

Now I'm out of here. I hope everyone else will follow me :)
