This is neither endorsement nor advertisement, just a possible source of a solution based upon my (limited) experience in the field. Check out PLANETGEAR products through REXNORD corp. A reliable North American distributor is Kaman Industrial Technologies. A cursory web search will put you in touch. If you are in Canada, you may find BC BEARING ENGINEERS a competitive supplier of these versatile and reliable units. Good luck!

I found the planetary gearbox site informative. I do safe drinking water development on a volunteer basis and am interested in building smaller trailer mounted cable tool well drilling machines. These would be used in third world application to help provide people with water that could possibly be safer and closer to villages. Is anyone interested in helping with a basic design? I am a good fabricator but lack in some of the basics in gearing and loads.

thanks, Rusty Shuping rustyh2o@alltel.net

Ask Mr. Pravin Dhane at <svgears@vsnl.net, mktg@svgears.in> to quote what is your input./ how,at what RPM . Also what detail output shaft you want.

Also Torque-max. at input or at output

Also Horizontal/Vertical In/Out Shaft?

Also mounting you want--Foot or flange?

Please Tell him that I ( Mukul Mahant)recommended his product--and that he must sell to you at a big discount --because he will Export by Airfreight in 4 weeks

after full clarifications --after his first quotation .
