Separation Between HV and LV Power Cables

07/14/2010 5:14 PM

Hi There!

Does anybody knows when one is running power cables, high voltage(30KV and low voltage 400volts), how far apart you have to keep them away from each other? Please under ground and on cable tray. Thanks,

Mosquito

Hi Mosquito,
Presently you are making lots of problem by bites to us.
Dont lay the HV and MV cables side by side
You must have a clearance between two cables.
The clearance normally is 600MM between HV and LV cables.
Please check your cioountry Standards for idea

Dear CR4 forum members, 16-7-2010.

It is strange that Mr.Mosquito & Mr.Guest have posted similar

questions ( may be words are changed). It is high time that some sort of screening

is to be done before admission so that CR4 forum'stime is used in a better way.

Excuse me if I am wrong.

If they are shielded cables then they can be side by side but if they are not shielded cables then Hv going to leak into LV. Lion is going to eat Deer if you know what it means.
