For motor FLA per NEC, 3.4A, if I remember correctly. (Can't find the book right now.)

The simple answer is it is clearly marked on either the motor name plate, or if you don't have the motor, in the motor literature obtained of the motor manufacturers website.

Additionally this question has been previously answered before on CR4.

What is this for because it sounds a lot like homework to me?

Well the current depends on a number of motor parameters including the winding configuration (either star or delta winding). If you are after just a value, approximately 3.53A full load current for a 2HP 0.8 power factor three phase motor.

Please note that this current value may be completely incorrect depending on what motor you are thinking of (not all 2HP 480V motors will be 3.53A), but I am assuming this is JUST a theoretical question and that you are not trying to size a motor application.

It will say on the rating plate attached to the motor.
