Transmitter/Receiver

07/19/2010 7:45 PM

I want to build a circuit that can transmit and receive signals to turn on a light source. The distance is about 80feet. Whats the best way to go about this, circuit diagrams and all I will need to start and complete this project. Thanks

Why not buy one? Much easier than building. Just Google, "remote light control".

I guess you've tried the "Clapper"?

Or, is this homework?

Passive infrared detectors with acceptable ingress protection ratings are available over-the-counter at home improvement supplies merchants, lighting specialists and electrical retailers. So it's simpler to buy one.
