Start by picking up the phone to the manufacturer and talking to its technical helpline.

Please furnish all relevant data about heat load, i.e. inlet and out load temperature of oil, water and the flow rates. Also furnish the same data when the cooler performance was satisfactory. Then it may be possible to find the cause of the higher oil temperature.

Actually there is a lot of causes which increasing the lube oil TE.

But you have as our colleagues mention above to contact the vendor and prescribe to him the case may give you the suitable salutation to avoid increasing the TE.

1- Lube oil viscosity low and you have do analysis and get the result.

2- Lube oil piping system pass beside steam piping which affect to the lube oil TE thus increase more.

3- The thermostat valve sitting which mixing oil was changed.

4- Some of lube oil cooler tubes clogged.

5- The water TE which used to cool the lube oil high pleases trace.

6- Ambient TE at that's time was increased more thus increasing the lube oil TE.

7- Some of journal bearings preloaded.
