Generate Eectricity From Heat

07/23/2010 6:20 AM

heat energy wasted in the form hot air in silencer.if we put a thermocouple or thermistor on the silencer convert that heat energy in to electric energy.we use this energy to charging the batteries other purposes after convert it direct current.if u have ideas about it.pls share with me

<...ideas about it...>

Here's one.

If the plan is to take heat out of the exhaust gases, then keep the final tailpipe temperature above the dewpoint of sulphuric acid otherwise the decay of all parts of the exhaust system will be accelerated.

Here's another.

Why muck about with electricity when cooling the exhaust gases can pre-heat the incoming air with a simple heat exchanger?

because thermopile's are very inefficient otherwise excellent idea.

cannot use hot gases to heat incoming air as this would decrease the effiency of the engine, you need the incoming air as cool as poss, thats why they fit inter coolers when turbo chargers are fitted, cos compressing the air heats it up

I recommend you to study automobile electric first. For bike itself in olden days it was 6V battery now its 12V and when its below or above this range cutoff happens its very difficult to generate 1.5A and 12V with your idea i hope. You can correct me if go wrong. -Hithu-

Pelteir Junctions - double check the spelling- and sterling motors. Tesla turbines if the heat involves liquids or gases
