IML is the abbreviation of In-mould labeling, is a totally new package style that is different from the traditional of direct silk-screen, thermal contraction tag, adhesive sticker tag, which is popular in the Europe and America, and keep lingering in china for more than two years, not it have the wide use with the large scale.
IML is mainly used in making the PP, PE, PET injected molding and blowing molding products. That is, put the tag into the blow or injected cavity before blowing or injecting, and when the mould closed and the material go into the mould, the tag and the surface of products will be one part through high temperature and pressure, when the mould is opened, the good printing products will come out.
The IML solution line includes IML special mould, high speed injection machine, vale-gate hot runner system and IML robot. At present, for all I know, only have only several companies are able to produce 30ml thin wall product mould with 16 cavities and 5s/shot. Meanwhile, the least wall thickness for thin wall products is 0.4mm.
