2" Pipe sch xxh

Suppose we are using a pipe of 2" sch xxh both the ends of the pipe is tightly closed with a liquid media i.e diesel in it. And now if the same pipe is deeped in a liquid whose temp. is 400 deg celsius for almost 8hours what will be effect?

That is probably enough to rupture the submerged pipe. Why one would want to do this is a bit hard to figure out, though; but it might be a nice classroom demonstration. I would prefer not to be standing around.

It does rather depend upon what the liquid is that can remain liquid at 400degC. Now, it could be supercritical water/steam if it can be contained well enough, perhaps?

There was another thread on this topic a few weeks back. Sooner or later, the CR4 reader will get bored.....
