Hello sandeep lokhande. How have you been?

Preventive Maintenance has been discussed many times. Here is a recent conversation about it.

If that does not give you some ideas, try the 'Search all of CR4' box in the right margin of the screen.

Buy new equipment and maintain it according to the factory specifications provided. Or, hire the manufacturer to keep the equipment in tip top shape.

It's not rocket science.

Keep turning the radio volume up. That squeaky noise will go away.

Firstly, develop daily rounds with check lists to monitor normal conditions.. eg. temperatures & pressures ...Look, listen, record. Checks...Checks ...Checks.... -checks most often needed are; loose nuts, bolts, supports. -check for wear points on chains and guides, belts. -checks filters, replace when needed. Lubricate, or change fluids.... to reduce wear. If you want to be really on your game....the best maintaining practices are... Clean Clean Clean.....it helps you to notice leaks and wear, before they get out of hand. And lastly, think Predictive Maintenance, not preventive maintenance.... somethings change, but you can bet that wear and tear will continue, as long as your running the machinery. Hope this helps

If it moves, grease it. If it doesn't move, paint it.

Biology has a counterpart: If it doesn't move, eat it. If it does move, xxxx it.

Or, if it moves, salute it. If it doesn't move, paint it.

If it doesn't move paint it, if it does move paint it until it doesn't move.

Preventive maintenance means checking and repairing a device/machine before it breakdowns and cause loss of production and sometime cause damage to other parts of the machine. Earlier it was done during weekends, then they talked to production personnel using the machines and drew up a programme to stop machine by machine during running hours and serviced them.Later a system called condition monitoring is adopted in which while the machine is in use without stopping they looked for any signs or symptoms like unusual noise, vibration, heat, current, pressure, level etc and if found the machine would be stopped and rectified. This should be done by the production staff or machine operators themselves as they are the ones who is with the machine for an entire shift or 8 hrs daily and reported to the maintenance staff.
