Magnetic Generators

08/26/2010 3:25 AM

Can any body enlighten me on magnetic generators for generating electricity which reportedly does not consume any fuel for generating electricity?

It does not and cannot work. Look at this previous thread on CR4

Yes...
They do not exist and are impossible... in exactly the same way as the spill water from a hydroplant won't run back upto the top of the hill on it's own.
The proponents of such devices are fools, naive or confidence tricksters.

They may run on a waterwheel like this one, at best.

GA. A friend's nephew once approached me for help in developing a generator that is powered by a motor that is started by a battery. The motor will drive the generator which will in turn produce enough electricity to drive the motor, recharge the battery and supply power to several external devices as well. My advice to him was to produce a working model first, and once he had done that, I will introduce him to some venture capitalists to mass produce and market his product.

That was three years ago, and I'm still waiting for him to show me his working model (not that I'm holding my breath for it).

Thanks for the GA. Your mind-scrambling ray seems to still at work Three people in the last week have asked about over-unity/perpetual motion.... please do turn it off will you.

Yeah, unfortunately admin shut abcd down just as it was starting to get really interesting and fun.

I guess some of these over-unity loonies didn't like you poking fun at them with M.C. Escher's Waterfall. Funny though, Escher's my favorite painter; I even have a book of all his artwork.

Hey everyone, do I really seem so nekulturny to you as to not to be able to appreciate good surrealistic art a la Escher?

By the way, find any takers for your 10,000 free parliamentarians?

Yes, i came to know about Escher from Tornado. He recommended a book by Hofstrader. i was pleasantly surprised to see it on all online stores in India, and that it sells reasonably well ! Fittingly, my music system was playing Bach's Toccata and Fugue (normally called the Nokia tune in India) when it came...thanks again Tornado (i am 25% into it, a little above my intellectual level, but i marvel at many things in it)

Well...the 10,000 MPs with hot air/methane/H2S....are you kidding ? Even when the ship they were in capsized, the sea threw them right back...

You're welcome again!

I have owned three Eschers. Concave and Convex was the first, which I later "traded up" to House of Stairs; I still have Flatworms.

The Douglas R. Hofstadter book was Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid. Most highly recommended.

I had the opportunity to visit Escher's museum. There are several paintings not displayed in all collections. It was VERY interesting. Such a fantasy!

From another point of view I was somewhat surprised you use a classical Russian expression developed during the soviet era: "nekulturny"! It had a very broad use in many cases some of them not at all related to "culture".

Well, aside from the fact that the Emperor had me study Soviet-style interrogation techniques, nekulturny is Russian slang for uncivilized; considering that it literally means uncultured in Russian, it would be a most appropriate term to use in this context.

Re: Magnetic Generartors

Hydroelectric generators, wind turbines, waves based generators, water (or other stuff) vapour turbines based on usage of geothermal gradient are some possibilities all of those generate electricity without FUEL but making use of an other energy form.

I hope I rightly answered your question.

If you think about generators not using any other source of energy then better take a course in physics to learn how IMPOSSIBLE it is to even dream of such a possibility.

CR4 has lots of threads on magnetic motors/generators, which you can find via the "Search this Forum" box to the right. For some strange reason, none of these devices works as claimed. For another wild goose chase, visit PESWiki (mixed bag of wheat and chaff).

Most of the designs can be found here.

CR4 contributors azeeco and magnext, among others, are working on similar equipment, according to recent reports.
