How do you remove the screws on the outside of the magneto cover on a 2002 Yamaha Blaster?

You may need an impact screwdriver for this, along with penetrating oil.

A good impact driver is essential... not the air or electric powered ones, but the type that you whack with a hammer. The hammer impluse prevents the bit from slipping out of the screw head, and at the same time the tool imparts a serious torque impulse. I have had a Snap-on set for four decades that is essentially identical to this set. The price was not so staggering when I bought mine. It still works just like it did when brand new.

Good addition. This is the type I was thinking of; thanks for spelling it out.
