PUMPS

Please calculate the value of mechanical power for sewage pump if the gauge height (MANOMETRIC) = 33 meters and the amount of disposal(CHARGE) = 60 cubic meters per second IN kw.

Ok,

I done it both in 350V/50 Hz and 400V/60 Hz and with sg of 1.15 and 2.0.

What's next?

The sg of sewage is an interesting question, but not something I've ever needed to know. I wonder if it varies with geographic location, time of year, local cuisine, etc?

What pump efficiency are we assuming?

(Btw. noting your recent changes of avatar, Lynlynch, I'm assuming your lovely barn has burnt down, leaving your lovely tractor exposed to the elements, thus rendering it out of service?)

Nope,

Going undercover sometime today. Didn't know exactly when, so I put the sign up now.

I'll be back, if the mission is successful.

Approx 24,000 kw (24 Mw), depending on pump efficiency.

(60 m3/s is a huge flow, and 33 m is a pretty high head for sewage discharge.)

24,000/3600 ≈ 6.67 kw.

Simple, ducon gets 30% of the sale price of the generation plant. Tornado get a 20% kick back out of ducon's 30%.

Standard US political accountancy!

Tornado then has to give me 15% of his 20% of ducon's 30% to keep me quiet! Simple back hander arithmetic!
