Cement Kiln Natural Gas Control System

10/13/2010 11:53 AM

Hello, I'm working in a cement plant,While dealing with a revamping project. I'm looking for possible suppliers in Europe and USA of natural gas station to control and regulate a cement kiln heating and cooking process using a burner that can deal with a flow of gas from 500 to15000 Nm3/h supplied by Flsmidth DK company. Thank You.

Are you using the gas to cure the kiln after a turnaround/re-brick etc or is that the main source of fuel to cook the clinkers, I assume this is a wet process cement plant?

Pillard do burners and control systems. They were used on all 5 rotary kilns I've worked on, 3 of then were retro fit for dual fuel. Only one was a Smidth kiln that was fitted with Pillard equipment from the outset.

Try Honeywell for Combustion Controls.

I have been dealing with lime kilns in the pulp and paper industry for 30 years and have had very good success with a company named Street Automation from Alpharetta, GA. They design and fabricate valve trains and burner management systems for both natural gas and oil. Small but very capable organization that you should consider.

good luck with your project!

Maxon has produced industrial burners for a century. Their safety shutoff valves are an industry standard. They'll build an entire gas train skid.

If Low NOx is an environmental issue, you should particularly check them out.
