Is not a refrigerator already a heat pump?

It moves heat from inside the box to the outside of the box. No?

Need the reversing valve to do this not sure its practical or possible on a conventional refrigerator. What is your application?

As Doorman notes, the fridge is already a heat pump, but of quite low capacity.

If you use it to move heat in only one direction, a 4-way reversing valve is not necessary.

as doorman says it is a heat pump.

cant be reversed though but if you take door off cut hole in wall and stick fridge interior towards hole and seal it, Bingo you have a heater not a very good one though.

i did convert one of those portable aircon units though.

placed unit in roof space and placed the heat out pipe down into the room below and there you have it fresh warm air

use infra red tv remote control extension to relay remote signals into roof space.

Neat eh ??

Did you still manage to get the Stealth Moderation channel on 13?

Try explaining to a very warm room full of belligerent morons that the air con is working but fighting a loosing battle trying to cool all of Derbyshire via the open windows. Just as I was leaving the room I spotted the fridge door open to cool the room!

Give up and walk away!

Hello dashing deep.

Small moderation to "Eienstein" absorption frigde does this very well.

Removing the restictor is needed.

Cheers
