Wafer Check Valve

10/15/2010 6:05 AM

Dear all!

Does anyone have document to show: opening pressure of a standard dual plate wafer check valve?

Does one type of valve (same size, material, working pressure) may have different spring (so different force to open valve)?

I also searched for that, but it seem to be not available.

Thanks!

Why do you need it? Will this nonsense be of any use to know that due to the different spring the milli second time difference in opening / closing of the Wafer Disc Check valve is really important?

There is probably not a set standard for this; it would vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, so you would need to consult the various catalogs.

As you mention, it would be possible to have optional springs to suit different operating requirements, such as easy opening low pressure drop versus tight closing with higher pressure drop.

Dear!

I do understand what you said!

But I think normally they will have opening pressure in valve's specification on in specific document (but I never seen this).

If one supplier tell you: we would supply and wafer check valve, opening pressure is 0.2 bar, I think they don't have document for that but only what they said (none sense).

So, I only want to have a document from a manufacturer or any documetn to show the "opening pressure" of a wafer check valve! It just for reference!

Thanks all!
