A New IC Engine Design

11/15/2010 6:19 AM

I have participated in various blogs on IC engines on CR4. Finally it appears that the most popular 4 stroke iC engine has an efficiency of just about 23% at the most. I did learn a lot from actively participating in the discussions on the topic. I found that basically the core technology revolves around the CARNOT CYCLE. the area enclosed by the curve represents the energy delivered. Addition of microprocessor based fuel injection system etc will not change this core CARNOT cycle. Hence improvements in efficiency are only marginal.

I have found ways to extract more power given the above statements are right. I am in Bangalore and looking forward to an organisation seriously interested in taking this idea into commercialize scale. We discuss this further through mail service of CR4 - rather than get into public debate. It may result in a patent- and applicable to all 4 stroke iC engines irrespective of end application.

They are not right. Does that mean you idea doesn't work?

This is one of those threads where I check the original poster's history to get a sense for what on earth his background might be. For your implosion engine idea, I offer the stoichiometric mixture of hydrogen and oxygen as the cylinder contents. Add a spark, and that mixture implodes pretty rapidly. Atmospheric pressure can then move a the piston in response.

Perhaps you can spend some time (please take as long as you want) building a prototype vacuum engine. When you are done, come back and give us your results. Know that in your absence we will carry on, and that we will be wishing you well. Perhaps you could take the gun engine guy with you?
