It seems that you did not register the CAD and every operating system fro vista up is protected from illegal purchased software. Just install old fashion Window XP and you would not have that problem

Hi Guest

You can repair your AutoCAD installation by going to add/remove programs in control pannel and click on repair current installation. It will require you to have the orginal disc inserted in the drive unless you have all the cab files on your 'c' drive.

Alternatively, just stick the disc in and select repair.

It's worked for me several times after things like 'regcure' has nibbled away at what it thinks are nastys!

Good luck with it!

The Autocad forums are are full of program fixes and workarounds.

This one showed up for us over a year ago, and the fix , linked to twice above, worked just fine.

If still no luck, try this Autocad forum link

These errors may be caused by the digital signature feature.

To correct this issue - In Windows Explorer, right-click on a drawing file.

On the shortcut menu, click "Enable/Disable Digital Signature Icons."

Clear the "Validate digital signatures and display special icons" check box.

Reboot the system.

After further investigation it seems Autodesk has issued this report which includes a link to a hotfix from Microsoft.

Windoze hotfix
