will anyone remind me of mechaincal properties of materials and how to classify different materials?

Fu ultimate strength
S section modulus
I (or J) moment of inertia
E modulus of elasticity
Alloying element percentages
...and a few bookfuls of stuff...

Amongst th bookfuls you may find % elongation, %reduction in area, hardness, as well as som e more general concepts like ductility, brittleness, elastic, plastic, etc.. Milo
