Because of the various slopes, fillets, and corner roundings of these shapes, the weights (and other sectional properties) are not so easy to calculate. Thus they are usually given in tables from manufacturers and standards organizations such as the AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction). Hence it is best to obtain the correct local book, and just look things up, rather than calculate them.
