Hi - I would like to request expert inputs from the community...
We have a new production line coming up, with a relatively lower chilled water requirement for process. We are looking into 2 options:
1. A dedicated chilled water system for the new building (600 TR chiller, 6 degC chilled water supply)
2. Use available chilled water at 9 degC (quite high) as supply water to propose smaller chiller. The calculated chiller capacity to meet the 6 Deg C chilled water temp. and 1440 gpm is only 320 TR.
Is option 2 a viable capital savings option? Is it possible to have 320 TR capacity given the chilled water flow needed is 1440 gpm?
Thanks in advance for the advice...
