Directional Valve With Function Counterbalace Valve ?

01/11/2011 10:11 AM

Good day sir.

I have the two stage directional valve (upper stage valve is float type. Lower stage valve is tandem type). I use this valve (consist of upper and lower stage) with fix displacement pump for liftting load without counterbalace valve (or brake valve). So Motor overruned and load go down fast. Can I insert some valves (I don't know excatly what kind of valve) between the upper stage and lower stage to have the directional valve with function counterbalace valve for prevent load from falling down fast. Thank for your help.

using the equipment before someone gets hurt/killed.

Get the manufacturer to advise.

Do not use the equipment again until repars have been carried out to the facility's indemnity insurance company's Engineer/Surveyor's written satisfaction.

If that cannot be done, scrap the equipment and replace it. Carry out a fresh insurance assessment before bringing the equipment into use.
