What is the need of installing lighting transformer? How it reduces fault level in the lighting circuits???

It doesn't do that. It reduces the voltage of the lighting circuit to a level that is compatible with the instralled lighting elements' input requirements.

lighting transformer impedance, will reduce the short circuit fault current.....................to the level of 10kA which is then compatible with the MCB and other components which are used generally in the lighting system
