Cable Sizing Formula

Dear Electrical Friends,

Would like to know the formula to be used for the cable sizing for DOL motors and Star-Delta Motors.

Cable ampacity ≥ 1.25 x FLC of motor, regardless of starting method; plus other corrections that may need to be applied for voltage drop, cable bundling, ambient temperature, etc. It is not so much a calculation as several table look-ups with a decision tree.

But the rating of protective size(fuse/mcb/mccb) will be different.
