How Can I Measure Electricity In My Body?

01/28/2011 11:35 AM

Re: How can I measure electricity in my body? I NEED YOUR HELP! I was recently told that I have an overload of electricity in my body and I want to document this. Have you ever heard of such a thing and is there a way of correcting this problem I have? I'm a 62 year old male; I have been complaining about pins and needle feeling for the past few years and have gotten no relief from the problem. I was given a nerve test by Dr. Ronald C. Fagan, M.D., P.C. and was told I have carpel tunnel in my hands. I was instructed to get surgery on both hands which were done in February of 2009 by: Dr. Charles P. Melone, M.D. and still no relief. After seeing many other doctors I met with Dr. David Borenstein, M.D. who did Provoked URINE TOXIC METALS TEST which shows I have elevated LEAD. Please see the attached test. I pride my self as being a very logical person and I believe the lead in my body is acting as a ground for all electromagnetic fields creating the problems I am feeling. THE FOLLOWING ARE SOME OF THE WAYS I WAS EXPOSED TO LEAD: v I worked as an electrician and in the lighting field for many years. As an electrician I tested for electrical current with my hands many times throughout my life, (110v - 220v) v For about 2 years I worked in a small costume jewelry factory. v In my prior apartment, were I lived for 34 years there is a lead pan in the stall shower under the tiles. v For about 5 years I worked at a lampshade factory in Sunset Park Brooklyn with peeling paint on walls and ceiling. v I'm also a hobbyist and have worked with lead solder many times throughout my life. I have had a several pacemakers since 1977, I received my last pacemaker July 2008 and sometime after that I get the above feeling got much worse, whenever I am near or hold any electronic devices. My cell Phone and my laptop are the worst. These are some of the other problems I am having. Burn marks in the facial area • Burning, pain, pins and needles, tingling feeling on hands, feet, abdomen and chest • Heart problems • Dull to piercing headache

You can't have any more 'electricity in your body' that nature and your pacemaker give you*. Don't mess about trying to measure it and risk interferring with your pacemaker.
Chill out, you are probably just getting old like the rest of us. Find something else to worry about.
I could bore you with my arthritis in my elbows, my sinus trouble, baldness and reduced libido... but I'd rather get on with my bow making and and enjoy not being driven by the raging hormones of my youth.
Mrs Cat would doubtless accuse you of being a hypochondriac and tell you to get on with your life and stop moaning... well that's what she tells me.

May if you original post was titled 'Sensitivity to Electromagnetic Fields' and you post stuck to the point then I'd have given a more symathetic answer.
I do believe some people are sensitive to electromagnetic fields, and as such I'm sympathetic.
I'm afraid the pertinent part of your post was lost in the noise.

Re: How can I measure electricity in my body?

Electricity as measured at your skin (outside of your body) can be measured. Electricity is electricity. You need good contacts. The heart monitor contacts should be good. Brain wave tester contacts should also be good. Anything conductive would "work" but you want a low resistance contact to/through the skin. A measuring device with an appropriate high input impedance and appropriate bandwidth would work.

Actually "inside" the body is going to be much tougher.

As to the "overload of electricity in my body" I suspect that this was told to you by "They". Many times I deal with reports of what "They" say. I tend to find the accuracy of the reports from this "They" person to be pretty low. It would be interesting for us if you would post more details and sources for this theory.

As to the lead in your body I extend to you my best wishes. I have never personally known a person with heavy metal poisoning but I hear it is not a very nice thing to deal with.

Disclaimer:

I am not a doctor and I don't claim to know what I am talking about. These are my comments only. If a real doctor says that you have too much electricity in your body then please listen to him/her. My suggestion that you ignore this theory only applies if you are being told it by a source named "They".

Not sure where to begin on this one. 1 st if your not well it has nothing to do with excess electricity in your body. Your not a battery! can't happen. Next find a better doctor. Seek help in anyway you can as it appears you have the Frank Prazid syndrome. (Frank was a guy that work with me years ago and had a breakdown at work. When he came back 6 months later he, just smiled all of the time. Good Luck

I do also sympathize with your suffering, but I am concerned that you'll possibly take some actions (medical or otherwise) which could be risky. Please do some research on this condition on your own, seek qualified medical help and don't do anything without gettting a second - or third - opinion.

Here's a link which may be of some interest to you and others reading this thread. Do please read it thoroughly and calmly weigh all the information presented with an open mind.

I will only use qualified medical professionals because of my medical history. I am only doing research here on the internet as much as it hurts my hands.

Have you spoken to your Cardiac surgeon? Pins and needles are symtoms of nerve problems. It may be that you pacemaker insertion has had an effect.

Alternatively, take up swimming. Water is a fantastic conductor and will "earth" you, removing any excess electrcity you may be storing.

Wear only cotton, no silk or made made fabrics.

If you don't like these, try putting a light bulb in your mouth and see if it lights.

Be well.

Hi English Rose Thanks for writing me, well I don't know about the light bulb. I have seen all the doctors you have suggested with no help. Bet I do have elevated lead and mercury in my system. Is it possible that the elevated lead and mercury can act as a ground to the electric fields i'm using at the time and create the pins and needle feeling I am getting? I'm open to anything even trying the swimming, it can't hurt. Thanks, Barry

Re: How can I measure electricity in my body?

Barry,

A pacemaker malfunction is the obvious issue if your electric-like symptoms are made worse when you handle or are close to electrically powered devices, since these are able (theoretically) to induce current in the conductive materials in your implant if insulative properties fail.

If the cardiologist who installed the pacemaker refuses or fails to do a test to ensure it is working properly, then I suggest you talk to a lawyer, and tell him you suspect the pacemaker. A lawyer will know if there are similar cases on the books, or at minimum, will know a doctor who will see you and do the necessary examination. If the product is defective and causing this problem, it needs to be replaced! And the supplier is liable for the defective product - one reason why the doctor who installed it may not be helpful.

A word of caution: your speculations about lead and mercury having electrical effects in your body are not correct and are not helpful to you. Lead and mercury make you crazy or stupefied, and sick, not electrified. If you suggest these false causes, it will simply confirm you are "crazy" and distract from the question, is there an authentic electrical problem with the pacemaker device.

There are other medical conditions that can also cause your symptoms listed at the end, ranging from stroke-related to neurological to diabetic circulatory problems, so please discuss those symptoms with a doctor, as well as having the pacemaker checked.

Dear Artsmith: Thank you for the reply, I have a questions: Are you a doctor and what are you basing your answer on? I have spoken to 3 Electro physiologist's who all say my pacemaker is working fine. I'm ready to through my hands up in the air, I don't know what to do any longer. Thanks, Barry

Sorry Barry for the bad answer. You will see a button at the bottom left hand side that says "rate". Please click on that and vote "off topic" which is the opposite of a good answer (at least, the best we have.)

This is the place where I take a break, to think about problems and try to answer them if I can. I tried to answer your question on a theoretical basis that turned out to be wrong when I went looking for confirmation. Gotta love the internet.

I am not a doctor. This advice is good for everybody with a health problem: Eat a half a head of lettuce every day. When that gets boring, chop and add other vegetables and herbs to help you make the quota. Take fresh air every day in a place where there are living plants. Sit on the grass. Touch the ground. Feel the sun on your face, and enjoy your days on the earth as much as you can. If a little flower makes you smile, remember Artsmith wishes you a happy day and relief from your troubles.

Re: How can I measure electricity in my body?

Barry,

Okay I did some searches on this problem, and it turns out that induced current in a pacemaker is NOT a good or likely explanation for your problem - I was wrong. There is a very clear summary of the effects of electronic devices on pacemakers here under "What devices can interfere with pacemakers?" This is not the problem you described.

You need to read about "peripheral neuropathy". This page at the Mayo Clinic is a good resource. One of the key points here is that a "light touch" produces pain. This is a good explanation, why you feel the tingling when you touch your cell phone or laptop. It is not because of electricity. It is because of the way they are touched: lightly. Peripheral neuropathy can be caused by trauma to a nerve: if this happened in surgery it would explain why this problem started when you got the new pacemaker.

Sorry for any misconceptions due to my hasty (and ignorant) post. Good luck with your problem.

Aren't any of the three electrophysiologists you have consulted so far able to tell you how to measure electricity in your body? It seems better to ask them than an engineering forum. (And why three of them, anyway?)

Re: How Can I Measure Electricity In My Body?

Shall we put a bit of real science into this? As a doctor, I can tell you there is no such thing as an overload of electricity in the body (unless you connect yourself to a voltage source, of course). You might be saying that you think all the electromagnetic radiation around us upsets you, but believe me, this has been properly researched too, and there is no real evidence for this, either.
You say you rate yourself as a very logical person. If I tell you that all the lead ions in your body are well spaced out and none of them are touching each other, would you agree that it is impossible that they could be responsible for grounding anything?
By the way, urinary lead levels are not a meaningful measurement of anything, as most of the lead in the body is excreted in the faeces. If you are worried about lead poisoning then you should get blood levels done:
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003360.htm

Lead poisoning may cause headaches and irritablity, and a few other things:
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/002473.htm

but not usually pins and needles. However, there is absolutely no research that implicates electromagnetic radiation as a cause of pins and needles, either. I suggest you go back to your first neurologist, or else to your family physician, and let them work on your problems.

Hi: I just had a Heavy Metals Blood Test it was collected on 1/24/11, here are the results: Arsenic <3, Mercury <4, Lead <2. do you think a combined collection of all three could have an affect on my body? Thanks in advance for your response., Barry

Although others seem reluctant to mention it, there is clear evidence of CRLF deficiency, to which surplus body electricity might contribute.

CRLF deficiency is widespread, evident on fora such as this and manifests its symptoms in excessively long. multisentence paragraphs unbroken by sub paragraphs or white space. Teachers have long encountered CRLF deficiency in the classroom, but CRLF deficiency has had pandemic spread correlating to expanded useage of the internet.

Dr. Elliott Withmeyer III studied the disease for the US Centers for Disease Control and named the malady after common useage acronyms of the carriage return (CR) and line feed (LF) ASCII characters. Those are the electronic characters used in electronic documents to end one paragraph and start another. He was unable to conclude why some are afflicted and others are not. But I think excessive body electricity is as good a reason as any other.

What say ye?

First off get the lead out. There is testing you can do. Rocky Mountain Labortories have all the tests. Find a Naturopath (Doctor of Natural Medicine) in your area. 2nd, I think that you might be refering to Magnetic Energy in the body. This energy can be used for many things, if you learn to control it. Look that up as well.

Good luck to you and I hope this isn't too late as the last post was in 2011.

Re: How Can I Measure Electricity In My Body?

12/05/2013 8:51 PM

My strange symptoms: 1. I am carrying a really high electrical charge in my body. Sounds cool but it is NOT!! I malfunction computers, cell phone, lights will flicker, get shocked often, feel power lines, can't ride in electric cars or electric subways, being around any major electric would cause me to zone out... totally subluxate my atlas/occiput and cause major brain confusion. 2. Confusion or lack of focus. It's been really difficult to stay focused or get things accomplished. I am used to my life moving at lightening speed but recently I make excuses saying that maybe I am getting older. Bull baloney!! It "this" thing I am going through. 3. Wanting to introvert...that is not my usually self...at gatherings or seminars. By 7pm I would start thinking, when do I get to go to bed. I thought that maybe I didn't want to be around a lot of people but that is baloney too. I LOVE PEOPLE... ESPECIALLY CHIROPRACTORS!! I am a Chiropractor. 4. Being around things that have energy or high vibrations would make me go to sleep. I can't stay awake in a movie whether it be a video at home or at the movies. It reminds me of when I use to read our boys to sleep and that crazy wavelength would come through and BAM I would be asleep... after promising myself that I would not fall asleep. 5. When I am on the computer, I have to constantly move my occiput (my head) around because it keeps subluxating (throwing my neck out). It been hard for me to get any work done without screwing up my energy. I even have an Earthing Mat to ground me while on the computer and a sheet to sleep on but it only helps a little. 6. Headaches. I have figured out where they come from. The come from florescent lighting, music with a lot of vibration, the vibrate plate, seminars because the vibration in the room is high, superfoods whether I eat them or drink them in a smoothie. It goes back to vibration. 7. I could "feel" my teeth. The ones I had work done on would have this weird fizzing feeling. I didn't know what triggered it. 8. I would want to go to bed at 8 and get up at 3 am. I thought it was cool because the world was sleeping ...and I could get things accomplished. 9. I actually looked up spontaneous combustion because at one point I thought I was going to explode. Not a good feeling. :( This past weekend, I went to a seminar called Health Centers of the Future. I wasn't sure what I was going to learn but I thought I might get some insight on these crazy symptoms. I found out: 1. That my root canals are a biotoxin. Which will cause a person to carry a high electrical charge. I knew they were bad and I had an appointment on Thursday to have them removed but I wasn't sure if that is what is causing the electricity. 2. I had been working on becoming a fruitarian. Where 80% of my diet is fruit. People would say that being a fruitarian wasn't good because of the all sugar. I would laugh because my digestion, my skin, joints felt great, my percentage of body fat went down when I did this and my face would have no puffiness in it. I also slept very little which is great so I could get more done. The one negative thing that would happen is my hair would get really wiry and I seem to be getting gray really quickly. Little did I know that this contributed to the electrical issue in my body. I learned that sugar will block receptor sights on the cell and not allow nutrients to get in the cell. That is why when I eat meat I would "feel" better, more grounded but my digestion and joints did not like it. I have only had a persimmon and 2 bites of an apple as far as fruit goes in the last few days and I feel better. Less vibrating in my body. 3. That heavy metals get passed down from one generation to another. I was never one to believe that you got what your parents had or your grandparents but genetics is 25% of what is given to you and 75% environmental. Lead is the main thing passed down. 4. The waking up at 2 and 3 am is probably my adrenals. 5. It has to do with my cells and what is in them, what is going in them and how they are vibrating. I just did a heavy metal test and my lead is high and I am scheduled to get my root canals taken out which is probably the main reason for the electricity in my body. Look up Biological dentistry. You will learn a lot about what metal they are putting in peoples mouths. You can contact me but I am not sure how. I don't think I'm suppose to put any of that information on there. I WILL FIGURE THIS THING OUT!!

Re: How Can I Measure Electricity In My Body?

I am researching how I can measure the electricity of the body. I am using mineral electricity theory to relieve the pain of my clients and very successful in achieving relieving the pain. In one of the on cam cases taking, I thought I would not be able to help a client who has been suffering from body wide pain for seven years. Per her case history taking, she had the body wide pain after gaining her sanity with electric convulsion therapy. If I touch her scalp it was painful as confirmed by her body reaction. From head to toe she was in pain. Then I did the mineral therapy and she said she was relieved after the Therapy. I have not stopped researching that I landed on this page. The thing is, even edema and inflammatory condition can be addressed. I am convinced on the mineral properties but I am exploring how I can measure the body electricity before and after the therapy so that I can have data to attribute the healing with the mineral electricity balancing.
