I have heard by Face Book message and via Blackberry from a several colleagues in the Cairo area. They, their families and co-workers are OK, and they appreciated my thoughts and prayers for their safety. One hoped to return to his plant today (Sunday). They confirmed they had trouble with internet connections in previous days. I wish courage, strength and wisdom for the People of Egypt.

I wish them the best. I hope that they get the true freedom and democracy that they deserve. With that power they than can achieve their maximum potential.

Thanks for posting this topic, to remind us all of the personal side of this huge global story. My thoughts also go out to those around the world with friends and family in danger. I'm glad to hear that there are some things getting back to normal in Egypt, and I truly hope that the issues can be resolved without further violence, which I'm sure is what those in the middle of it would like as well.

I totally agree. The Egyptians taught us all (at least in the west) how to live civilized lives, how to build, how to measure, how to calculate angles, and much of the other math we use (even if the Greeks usually get credit for it). The modern world will be forever in their debt. I wish them the best, and hope this all ends well.

It is great to see the responses here, and the fact that a community such as our recognize global endeavors, knowledge and traits.

After all, we are the Human Race, and 99% of us just want to do what we do without harm to others and get along.
