Since you provide no useful information along with your generic question, the answer will have to be generic, as well. But, in this case, it doesn't really matter.

Parking stall width is determined at the local level. There is no "one size fits all" answer to the question. Different cities, counties, states, nations and planets establish their own requirements.

So the answer is, whatever it takes.

See section 17-6.3.

This is for a particular county, but probably the standard, at least in the US.

I just realized the other day that I can cut and paste entire thread questions into my google window. Works great! Answers in seconds. I hope it makes me look smart.

If only original posters could learn this.

It would greatly reduce the number of dumb-ass stupid juvenile elementary unnecessary questions we get.

Gee, who's the sorcerer?

I only do it when I'm curious as to what the answer is. I think people could google their way to 90% of the questions asked here......or more.

There are some dumb questions, but I think a lot of them stem from people not being adept at internet searches, or not being able to make sense of the millions of hits they get on a question. I try not to harsh on them too bad. It took me a long time to figure out how to use all the symbols on top of the post box.

As long as you don't get carried away like petersomenumbers from England did.

Sometimes it was TMI. Or TMWS.

I don't do that! I told that guy a long time ago that his cutting and pasting of entire web pages was making me freaking dizzy.

I'm not saying I won't get the boot, but it won't be for that. Some of us like to skate near the edge. Certainly not you though.*

I skate blindfolded. Edges be damned.

On the weekends, I skate hammered, I don't give a crap about the edges either.

I guess no one liked my idea of sucking the fat out of the obese children and burning it to power the schools. I think that dude was a flash in the pan. No more from him.

I actually did a little research on his crazy ideas. Outlandish to say the least. But I did learn something.

Back to the fire in my yard.

The minimum I saw when I was driving articulated lorries was about 10 ft. U.S. trailers are 102 in wide (standard max width) about 8.5 ft. The extra 1.5 ft gives 3 ft between trucks is a minimum, a luxury would be 11 or 12 ft per space.

A good driver can fit the trailer into a slot only a handful of inches (on each side) wider than the trailer, but if you are wanting the driver to be able to open his door with another truck hooked to the trailer next door, you need a bit more. Usually at truckstops it was a compromise of space; small truckstops meant small spots, bigger meant more room.

With any luck you will be able to fore-go research of zoning and planning department requirements. You may be able to avoid a visit to the governing building department.

It is rumored that a number of the larger MSA's are considering doing away with parking all together ! The rate at which vehicles are stolen, this only promotes drivers to leave a vehicle unattended making it a target!!

Especially applicable to Trucks !
