Fireproofing painting

Dear sirs,

Is there any standard which mentions about fireproofing requirement for painting of steel structure?

Maybe in Civil Engineering rather than Mechanical Engineering. Steel columns within buildings are usually clad with some form of mineral board.

Typically, structural steel isn't protected with paint. This page lists a product along with links to relevant fire ratings.

There are some rules for fireproofing included in many national building codes. Anyway you can consult at NFPA 101, www.ul.com or www.factorymutual.com for certified materials for structural steel.

Intumescent paints and mastic are used mainly for visible architectural structural steel members.
