In a world where the price of fuel is set to soar above the rate of inflation? One word: unaffordable.

Please quit slobbering, and actually compose an intelligible question.

The Terrafugia unit was at the air show in Oshkosh, WI. a couple years ago and I had a chance to speak to the designers. Modifications made to date make it close to happening. Nice bit of engineering I might say. As to crashes in the sky, you still have have at least a Sport Licence to fly this unit. Can't just go and start flying off the back street.

I just read about the latest in Popular Science, I thought it said that everything was a go, I already threw it away so I couldn't check.

Those look fun. Hopefully they never get affordable enough that everyone can have one........what a mess that would be!

People now cannot drive their cars on a flat road! They crash into each other, or off of the road into a tree. Do you think people would do any better up in the air?

Do you really want people crashing their cars up above your house? Maybe falling on your head?

We are not ready for flying cars. Maybe we should go back to horses, but also train them to understand a GPS? Later on we can teach them how to fly too.

Here in Indiana we have horse an buggies in areas of the state. Some years back there were two young lads that were drag racing their buggies and crashed. They were both killed and the two horses had to be put down. So the moral to the story is.. It makes no differences what people are operating, if they don't have some common sense to start with. But we live in a free society and thats whats its about!

Car traffic could be monitored by video cameras and accidents could be reduced and traffic regulated by traffic lights . But how can you control or regulate flying cars?. They will create accidents in air and debris could drop on humans and buildings even on roads or waterways.

My mother-in-law flies quite often.

No clutches, gear boxes, or fuel and to the best of my knowledge, no crashes.

Cheers!

It depends on the traffic density. Now only a few may be flying. Imagine a lot of people flying without any traffic lights or road rules, they will cross the path of each other and create hell in the sky.Every accident will cause a fire in ground structures and even deaths of even children in playgrounds. World will become a hell.

I prefer the Jetsons model. If you are willing to suffer through the 30 second ad, you can watch full episodes.
