Is there a piece of equipment out there for getting 7 or 8 teaspoons of differnt spices into a small bag for placing into another bag containg beans. This would be for a small scale operation.

Maybe search on "powder dispensers" or "granule dispensers"?

RCBS ChargeMaster Combo

Lyman 1200 DPS II

PACT Digital Dispenser/Scale

These are used for reloading ammunition. Seems like one of these would work. There are lots of manual models, too.

Yes there are several pieces of equipment out there. The simplest tool with the widest creativity (as others have proposed) is a teaspoon and a chef. This will certainly not be useful for a production run though. For a production run there are many more questions that must be ascertained to make a valid recommendation. I implore that you consult with somebody who has already done automated food packaging.

I'll apologize in advance.

I saw a show on TV, and the cocaine dealers use rooms full of naked women to fill the little bags.*

Sure, but didn't they use a spoon?

No one ladles spices with a neeked woman. messy, very messy business.

More Information Needed -

Do you need the spices measured? ground? mixed?

Is every operation identical, or are different mixes being planned?

Are the bags intended to be opened and emptied, or go through a cooking process, or should the bags dissolve in water?

Is cost of materials important? cost of labor? cost of equipment?

Depending on the answers to these questions, different recommendations may be proposed.

Also be aware

that there may be some significant industrial hygiene hazards

associated with some spice mixing and blending operations.

Doesn't appear that you will have that exposure, given my inference,

but be aware of the potential..
