Hi Mohammad,

Firstly, more information is needed on the application but as a general rule, pneumatic clamping (particularly if you are maching metal) is not considered safe due to the compressability of the air. It can be used, if it operates a "toggle" type clamp giving an over centre mechanical lock to the clamp mechanism.

Best regards,

John

Dear sir john, Thanks for your suggestion that pneumatic device is not safe. yes it is true because of air compressibility but, my problem is calculation of machining force. after that machining force i will apply some suitable clamping like hydraulic or toggle. I hope you will understand my inquiry and giving me a right direction for this query. Regards Mohammad irfan
