Creating a Landscape Stream

Use 2-1/2" pipe. PVC is good, ABS would also work, and so should HDPEX. The PVC and ABS come in 20' straight lengths, which might be awkward to form to terrain. The HDPEX (not even sure if you need X) comes in coils, and can be serpentined into gentle bends with few joints.

Select the pump for desired flow at about 20-25 feet of head (10' vertical plus allowance for pipe friction). It will come out about 1/2 hp. The discharge connection will be smaller than 2-1/2", so you will need a reducer (oriented as increaser) to hook up to the pipe.

Before closing in your work, may I suggest you give some thought to
the many additional items you may wish to use to enhance your project?

e.g. with this head and water flow different types of "races" can be
created, miniature water falls and / or a small fountain, etc. (Monet?)

I don't know the finished affect you desire, and maybe you do not
want any of these, but it is well worth a search or two, and seeing a
few pictures of other water arrangements, before starting and closing.
