Combined Plant Availability

05/11/2011 11:45 AM

Dear all,

Two streams are reporting to me. Mechanical & Electrical. Mechanical engineers availability should be above 99.5%. Electrical engineers plant availability should be above 99.5%.

What should be the target plant availability for me?

Regards,

0.995 x 0.995 = 0.990025 ≈ 0.99. GA to ChaoticIntellect.

Theory, reality and practicality are very different animals.

Don't go making promises based on theory because either reality or practicality will step in and confound things.
