Please help

I want to use Sodium Nitrate (99.3%) as a corossion inhibitor with hydrotest water pH - 7.33, Ca-2045mg/l, Mg-1216mg/l, Cl-11600mg/l, SO4-1284mg/l, CaC)3-10100mg/l. Please suggest the quantity of Sodium Nitrate required.

It would be better to use sodium nitrite and not the nitrate. Sodium nitrite is a reducing agent, an oxygen scavenger and a good corrosion inhibitor. Sodium nitrate ain't so good at it, as it doesn't react with oxygen.

Another way of inhibiting corrosion while carrying out the test is to get the pH above 8.5. Any alkali will do.

Without knowing the quantity of water to be dosed, it is a bit difficult to suggest the quantity of material required.
