What is the best type of Flowmeter for RTRP Lines

06/28/2011 10:15 AM

1. Can I use orifice type for RTRP lines? Is there any material for orifice flange that would be appropriate for RTRP lines? How should it be connected( orifice flange-->RTRP pipe)?

The flowmeter may be selected primarily on the basis of fluid characteristics, accuracy required, etc. The RTRP pipe will make threaded connections impractical. Flanges are most likely, but there may be some kind of compression connection that would work with low to moderate pressure piping. RTRP pipe manufacturers may be able to supply tapped flanges for use with DP (differential pressure) type flowmeters. They are the people I would ask.

What is in the pipe, its temperature and pressure?
