The nuetral grounding of the transformer can be achieved either by directly earthing the nuetral to earth or through a resistor. What is the main difference between this two types and what is the advantage of one over the other? Can someone explain in details for me?
in these two cases if there was afault to earth how does the breaker sense it and trips the device? I was told the resistor grounding has a current transformer attached to it , what level of current does it monitor and how does it act?
