How about a tire/tyre patch kit from your local bike shop/shoppe?

You need to define material first.

Then get a pieces of same material to patch up.

Get a right Adhesive/solvent/solution that can join patch on tank, Or you can try welding it thermally. And make double patching inside and outside both, If not possible double then make sure you do it inside.

Nah, we don't need to know the material to produce guesses. We love to make up all sorts of wild scenarios to fit our answers.

Since this is non-potable water used in cooling an internal combustion engine, simple duct tape can be used to seal this overflow container until a more permanent repair can be done.

See, not only was that not difficult, it was also fun.

His collapsible tank is just like the one I used to have for camping, and I hate to tell you, that first leak is the sign of doom.

Patch all you like, with whatever you like, fill with water, observe that it held for 20 seconds although it does seem to be sweating a little. Then pick it up to move it and it's all over. Literally. Good fun for a hot day.

My advice is, go back to the dollar store and buy yourself a new one.

remember the old tire plugs they use to make that had a large thick patch with a tail on it you installed from the inside of the tire outward ?

Pulling those tails thru holes in Radial Tires was a hard job

use an old inner tube till you can find someone with atleast a river raft material repair kit -- it is thicker

oh excuse me had a kid in my ear missed the water tank part.

Call up and find someone that has River Rafts -- then get a repair kit from them -- or you can make a temp patch from a Inner tube -- stop by a truck tire store and get an old tube out of their trash !
