you should look up the steam table.

MMpatel

at 200 bar the water (since you are talking about boiler feed water, we are dealing with demin water) the water will turn to steam at a temp of 365 deg C

Liquid.

If it were a gas then a compressor is substituted for a pump.

I agree with PWSlack.....

The boiler feed pump in most thermal power plants is indeed a pump.

That was the question for OP to think before asking .

BTW- for gaseous fluids too there are pumps eg vacuum pumps (which technically is a pump) a few of the diaphragm pumps etc.

I hope you are asking this question out of curiosity only. Just to satisfy your quiry please note as below:

You must have heard that water boils at 100°C but that is at atmospheric pressure. As the pressure of the water increases, the boiling temperature of the water gets increased. At the conditions you have specified, at 200 bar, the water is converted in to steam at very high temperature say 360 or 365°C. so at 180°C also, water will be in liquid state. On same principle, pressure cooker works to cook the food quickly by increasing the cooking temperature by few degrees.

Dear Mr. Mukesh0861,

I want to supplement to your point "pressure cooker works to cook the food quickly by increasing the cooking temperature by few degrees."

In the pressure cooker the pressure is 15 psig. and the corresponding Saturation Temp. is 121.6 Deg.C and cooking is fast and wastage of Energy is very much reduced.

Dear Mr.mmpatel81,

At 200 Bar Pressure, if you look at the Steam Tables, the Saturation Temp. is 365.7 Deg.C and when you say the Temp. is 180 Deg.C, it is water only i.e in Liquid Condition only.
