Hello everybody,

In a Brushless Permanent Magnet motor,

How to calculate the losses occur in rotor containing Permanent magnets?

Mechanical losses (Due to bearings)

Windage losses (depends upon the geometry, RPM, a bit complicated though possible)

(Volts multiplied by amps) - (shaft torque multiplied by angular velocity) = losses.

It is a piece of Permanent magnet ratating , there is no loss by the magnet.
