Banana Trunk and Corm Content

07/29/2011 7:53 AM

Hi All,

I'm looking for a reliable reference(s) on the specific content of banana trunk and corm. Does anybody here know any scientific article or other reference I can look at? Thank you very much for the help...!

Greets,

Ria

Try Googling "banana chemistry".

Chemical constituents of banana including various parts of the plant are listed in Duke's database. I couldn't link the search results, so enter 'banana' as the common name here.

The article on science direct sounds good.. :) Planning to use banana trunk/stem and/or corm for synthesis of some platform chemicals.., but I have to get the very specific content of them first. If any other know other sources, I would appreciate it. Thank you very much !

I think the article linked by Kramarat contains exactly the information you requested.

You may find some additional articles that are relevant to your plans by searching here, or if you are still looking for additional information, I recommend that you try Current Contents database for a search. It is not free on the internet, but if you cannot subscribe, you may be able to access it from a university library.

For the dome, use the same material as in Photo-Gray or Photo-Sun sunglasses?
