This is CR4, not McDonalds (other fast food outlets are available)!

The purpose of these projects is not to teach you how to have others do your work for you. For that, you'd need to be taking management courses.

Do your own work. If your learn how now, you might succed when you get a real job.

Good luck, now go forth and research.

While agreed it's not cool to ask other to do your homework, read on the Chieftain Main Battle tank's engine. It might lead you to some similar resources.

The Leyland L60 of the Chieftan Tank is an opposed piston engine. Different idea.

If you answer this question, I may help you.

What is the power output of your engine?

approx 1.5 or 2 times double the same cc of engine and also less space, more powerful than same capacity of engine.

That's not quite what lyn asked.

Most steam engines were/are double acting. Double acting ic engine has been considered before, but I don't know of a successful one being built. There are advantages, but plenty of practical problems, one being that it needs a piston rod as well as a con-rod.

I believe model builders are building real small ones.

I'm just opposed to doing people's homework for them, if they don't have a clue. What will they know when done?

Cheers.

Here is a drawing of a double acting engine that was used in, of all things, an airplane. This is from 1932. Looks like a LOT of moving parts.

If all you want to do is double power output, simply convert to 2 cycle design.
